Quick Comment
Devi Ahilya Bai Cabinet in Maheshwer

To take some important, big decisions, one's own willpower matters more than political willpower. When some governments take decisions only by looking at the economic condition of the state, the social aspect gets marginalized. But some people, even while being in power, take strong decisions with their own willpower, away from political sentiments. They have the amazing ability to balance economic development with social aspects. In the year 2025, one such strong face is in front of us. His name is- Dr. Mohan Yadav. After a decision of the Chief Minister of Madhya Pradesh, I will say only one sentence- 'This Chief Minister turned out to be strong.'
Dr. Mohan Yadav is redefining the governance of Madhya Pradesh. It has been just a year since the government started and a big decision like prohibition of liquor has been taken in the state. What a wonderful decision on the occasion of Girl Child Day and birth anniversary of Lokmata Ahilyabai. On the occasion of the 300th birth anniversary of Lokmata Devi Ahilyabai, from Maheshwar where she had run the government with good governance, the matter of GYAN has been taken forward. The GYAN mantra given by Prime Minister Narendra Modi has been made the goal. In the cabinet meeting held in Maheshwar, the poor, youth, farmers, women power have been freed from the curse. Alcohol is no less than a curse. The poor gets trapped in the quagmire of poverty due to the addiction of alcohol. The future of the youth is ruined by drinking alcohol. How can the farmers also escape from the addiction of alcohol. In the midst of all this, the life of women power is the most painful. Because be it poor, youth, farmers, anyone. Women power sometimes stays with us as a mother, sometimes as a sister, sometimes as a wife. Alcohol abuse often leads to domestic violence, road accidents and deteriorating public health. An NCRB report states that about 30% of violent crimes in India are committed under the influence of alcohol. In this context, prohibition is not just a policy, but a step towards regaining the sanctity of family and society. The complete ban on alcohol in 19 religious places of the state by Dr. Mohan Yadav is a unique example. Such a beginning has been made for the first time in the country. This will give strength to the poor, youth, farmers, and women will get freedom from a big curse. The decision taken by CM Dr. Mohan Yadav in Maheshwar, the city of Goddess Ahilya Bai, has been recorded in golden letters. Many people have doubts that how can a Chief Minister dare to take such a big decision in the direction of good governance in just one year of rule. Some are calling this decision of prohibition bold, some are calling it praiseworthy, some are calling it ideal, some are calling it historic. Many people are calling it an act of daring. But I see the decision of liquor ban as a farsighted political image of Dr. Mohan Yadav. This decision is an extension of Dr. Mohan Yadav's good governance model.
This decision of Dr. Mohan Yadav is not impulsive, rather it seems to be the result of a farsighted, careful, planned strategy. For the next 4 years, we can also witness the decision of complete prohibition of liquor in the expansion of good governance by Dr. Mohan Yadav. I do not feel any hesitation in saying this. Read Dr. Mohan Yadav's statement carefully - 'Sisters, daughters, brothers work hard in the house, but if they come home drunk, the house gets ruined. Alcohol is equal to a curse. We have decided to ban liquor in 19 religious places in Madhya Pradesh, we will gradually expand it.' The Chief Minister focused most of his speech on women empowerment. He has said that the government is making efforts to enable the women of the state in every field including education, health, nutrition, security and economic empowerment. The CM has announced that in the first phase, liquor shops will be completely removed from 19 religious cities-villages, they will not be shifted anywhere. ccording to this, in the initial phase, liquor shops will be removed from 1 Municipal Corporation, 6 Municipal Councils, 6 Municipal Councils and 6 Gram Panchayats. Dr. Mohan Yadav's vision seems to match the thoughts of Swami Vivekananda - "Arise, awake and do not stop till the goal is achieved." I see the meaning of 'goal' as complete prohibition in the future. No one will know when this prohibition, which started from 19 places, will reach 55 districts. Those who are taking Dr. Mohan Yadav lightly, let me tell them again - Dr. Mohan Yadav has shown only the trailer in one year, the full picture of a strong chief minister is yet to come, my friend.
